A grand concert featuring traditional Iranian instruments has been held at the Cathedral of St. Peter and St. Paul in Moscow.

The Iranian music group ‘Mehrbanan’ performed at the event under the baton of Hamidreza Dadou, an Iranian artist based in Russia.

The concert highlighted improvisational performances of traditional Iranian instruments such as the ney, tombak, daf, and santur.

Over the past 15 years in Russia, Dadou has conducted numerous concerts and collaborated with many Russian musicians.

The concert featured both Russian and Iranian artists.

Here is the English translation of the lyrics for the piece performed in the video.

O Iran, o bejeweled land
Your soil is the wellspring of virtues.

Far from you may the thoughts of evil be
May you remain lasting and eternal.

O enemy, if you are of stone, I am of steel
May my life be sacrificed for the pure soil of my motherland.

Since your love became my calling
My thoughts are never far from you.

For your cause, do our lives have any value?
May the land of our Iran be eternal.
